AvaTrade Partner Code 128979: The Real Story
I get asked about partner codes constantly. Usually the same question: do they give you free trades or discounted spreads?
Nope. AvaTrade charges zero commission on forex. You pay the spread. That's the cost. A partner code has no impact on spreads.
The code 128979 activates the bonus program. Additional trading capital depending on your deposit. That's all it does.
Bonus amounts?
Put in $1,000, receive $200 bonus.
Put in $2,000, get $400.
Deposits between $5,000 and $9,999 get $1,000.
Maximum bonus is $14,000 for deposits above $100,000. Not many traders reach that level.
British traders get £160 bonus on £800 deposits. Goes to £11,200 at the top.
You can open an account with $100. Bonus requires $1,000 minimum.
Where to enter the code
When you're signing up. After you enter your phone number, look for small text that says "Have a Partner Code?" with an arrow next to it. Click the arrow. A field drops down. Type **128979**.
Most people miss it because it doesn't look like a proper form field until you click.
Sometimes it shows as invalid, don't worry. Finish signing up. Reach out to your account manager first. Ask them to add code 128979. They handle this regularly.
You can't withdraw the bonus straight away
You need to trade a certain volume.
Roughly 10,000 units traded per $1 bonus. You'd need to trade 2,000,000 units to unlock a $200 bonus. Slower if you're trading micro lots. Active traders hit it quicker than expected.
Your own money stays yours. Access it whenever you need. Only the bonus has the restriction.
One thing worth knowing: the bonus adds to your available margin even when locked. You can hold larger positions than your deposit alone would allow. That breathing room helps while you're learning.
